BEAUTIFUL NAILS

The same applies to nails as to our hair: An adequate amount of exercise and a healthy diet will result in little miracles. And here a few tips what you can do for naturally beautiful fingernails in addition to taking goldLIFE®:

Tip 1: Hydrophobia an advantage

Detergents and dishwater affect your nails. Therefore you should always wear household gloves when succumbing to cleaning excesses while still wanting naturally perfect nails.

Tip 2: Don't touch the nail scissors

Here, the rule is: don't cut but file! To shorten nails you should not use scissors. In emergencies perhaps nail clippers, but as a matter of fact nails should only be approached with a nail file. Best for your nails: Sandpaper files, good (!) metal or even glass files. Cheap files can tear into the nail edge and damage the subcorneous:

Tip 3: The correct use of the nail file

When filing your nails you should ensure that the file is only ever moved in one direction and not frantically back and forth. Otherwise the edge of the nail is unnecessarily roughened and may tear. The usual rule is: Always file from the edge towards the centre.

Tip 4: Finishing the nail - the polishing file

After the filing the nails back and forth they should be treated with a 3-in-1 polishing file. In the first two steps bumps on the nail and nail edge are smoothed. The third step polishes and compresses the nails to make them smooth, with a wonderfully healthy shine. Particularly those suffering from nail structure problems should treat the nail edges with a polishing file.

Tip 5: Cuticles

During a manicure the cuticles at the nail bed should always be pushed back gently with a (special) wooden stick. Only use nail scissors in emergencies.

Tip 6: Oil treatment for brittle nails

Cracked, brittle nails and nails at risk of breaking that tend to split at the nail edge are usually too dry. The solution is an oil treatment with nail oil. Those who prefer "pure" and natural substances can use rich oils, such as olive oil, almond oil or, for example, jojoba oil. Simply apply the oil and gently massage it into nail and nail bed, ideally just before going to bed so it can work over night.

Tip 7: Sour makes beautiful - lemon against discolouration

Smokers will be delighted: according to an old traditional recipe lemon juice helps against yellowed nails. Apply lemon juice to the nails every evening. This is meant to remove most of the discolouration (cause by nicotine). This is quite possible, as lemon juice is always said to have cleansing and solvent properties due to its acid content. In combination with sunlight it is even said to lighten hair (which has a similar structure to fingernails). Those who often like to use colourful nail polish are also faced with a yellowing problem. A clear base coat will solve this problem.

Tip 8: Minerals, deficiency symptoms & illnesses - Nail furrows

Brittle nails, deep furrows, white marks and spots are things that often disfigure nails. They may be caused by deficiencies, illnesses affecting internal organs or nutrition, as these become visible in the nails. The nutritional situation should be examined, since the reason may be a mineral, iron or vitamin deficiency, which can usually be compensated with Gold Life. It might also be worth consulting your GP and undergoing a blood test.

Tip 9: Holiday for the nails - A break from nail polish

Nail polish remover, varnishes, etc. withdraw oil from the nails that usually keep them strong and elastic. An occasional period of time without nail polish is recommended anyway.
